The Stochastic Group has been providing statistical, mathematical, data science, and machine learning consulting services to an international clientele since 1997.  Our founder and Chief Statistician, Mark Lamias is a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA) and the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and is listed among distinguished statisticians in the ASA’s official statistical consultant directory.  His research has been published in many prestigious, peer-reviewed, academic journals in various disciplines, including in Public Opinion Quarterly (POQ), Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Journal of Travel Medicine, Vaccine, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses, American Journal of Epidemiology, and Social Science Computer Review.  Mark Lamias studied Political Science and Statistics at the University of Michigan, while his graduate school education was in Statistics at Iowa State University, Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
